🇺🇸 Dome means home, refers to the domestic. It also means summit. And besides, it means the sky, the firmament.

It's a work that points to the majestic of nature, both the earth and the sky. These are pictures of big rock under the night sky, starry, and some times moonlit.

Domus can be considered a photographic work of landscape. But that's not all: it's also a form of expressing I'm part of a bigger Universe, both natural and celestial, and this Universe is my home. Earth is my ground, the sky is my summit, my dome.

The Universe is huge in size, but is also huge in terms of extension of time: we live in a planet and Universe that exist for billions of years. These rocks are part of the Mountain Chain of Espinhaço, and can reach millions of years of age. And the stars, which are even older, have many million years of age.

🇧🇷 Domo quer dizer casa, refere-se ao doméstico. Também quer dizer cúpula. E além disso, o céu, o firmamento.

É um trabalho que aponta para o majestoso da natureza, tanto da terra quanto do céu. São fotos de grandes rochas sob o céu noturno, estrelado, e algumas vezes enluarado.

Domus pode ser considerado um trabalho de fotografia de paisagem natural (landscape). Mas não é só isso: é também uma forma de expressar que sou parte de um Universo maior, tanto natural quanto celestial, e que esse Universo é minha casa. A Terra é meu chão, e o céu é a minha cúpula, o meu domo.

O Universo é grandioso em tamanho, mas é também grandioso em termos de extensão temporal: habitamos um planeta e um universo que existe há bilhões de anos. Essas rochas fazem parte da Cordilheira do Espinhaço, e podem chegar à milhões de anos de idade. E as estrelas, que são mais velhas ainda, têm muitos milhões de anos de idade.
